SDAC Workshop on Future Studies
On Friday the 12th of July, 2019, students of the Master´s program “Standards of Decision-Making Across Cultures” participated in a workshop on Futures Studies held by Stefanie Ollenburg, a Research Fellow from Free University of Berlin. The workshop was provided for the students within the framework of the SDAC Lecture and Workshop Series.
The event began with an introduction to the discipline of Futures Studies and how “concepts of the future” can be used in various fields. The following workshop focused on the “workplace of the future” and combined concepts of Futures Studies with a user-centric design and innovation approach.
The students developed a persona and generated scenarios on that person’s future workplace. During the workshop the students cheerfully explored and experimented with other people‘s points of view. The day concluded with a reflection of the results.
