PD Dr Viola Thimm Launches “Queer Research Worlds” Lecture Series (WS 2025/26)
PD Dr. Viola Thimm organizes the FAU-lecture series “Queer Research Worlds” in winter semester 2025/2026 for the IZGDD (Interdisziplinäres Zentrum Gender-Diversität-Differenz). The public lecture series explores current discussions and debates in Queer Studies from an interdisciplinary perspective. To provide insight into the position of this relatively new field within academia, scholars from FAU will discuss their ongoing research on queer issues.
In doing so, this will make queer research visible within and outside our university. This is of particular importance given the ongoing anti-queer politics and policies at regional, national and international levels.
This lecture series is part of Viola Thimm’s teaching at SDAC in winter semester.
